OUR STORY
AXIS Flight School was founded in 2010 by Niklas Daniel and Brianne Thompson. Operations are based at the perpetually sunny Skydive Arizona, one of the world's premier drop zones.
Brianne and Nik coach jumpers with incredibly diverse backgrounds all over the world, full-time, year-round, alongside competing at multiple world championships in various disciplines, organizing at boogies, hosting tunnel camps, and coaching all over the United States and Europe. Despite the AXIS team's unequalled breadth of disciplinary experience, they are not "jacks of all trades." Rather, the pair has strategically specialized in each discipline to achieve true (podium-proven) mastery of each.
Brianne and Nik put this singularly broad, deep perspective to work in the form of a training methodology and teaching techniques that unlock success for an unparalleled cross-section of the skydiving public: not only sport athletes and military operators, but also adaptive athletes (such as wounded veterans, with amputations and other life-altering injuries).
AXIS also contributes the team's vast domain expertise to the safety & training section in Parachutist magazine in the form of the monthly column Foundations of Flight, which presents in-depth tutorials to shed light on the various skill sets used by different disciplines in the sport. To serve the competition community, AXIS developed the most comprehensive draw generator and performance analysis tools in the world, free of charge.
AXIS Flight School is also a trusted dealer for Vertical Suits, the world's premium manufacturer of skydiving and tunnel suits.
